3rd Anniversary of 3.11 vigil/protest in front of the Japanese Embassy, London

It is the 3rd anniversary of our 3.11 leafleting vigil and protest on 7th August 2015. As it is a special occasion for all of us, we would like to organise our monthly READ-OUT of our
statement to the Japanese Prime Minister on this day instead of 31st July 2015.
.
In August in Japan it is reported that Kyushu Electric Power Company plans to apply to regulators for the final ‘applied safety inspection’ of Sendai nuclear power plant 1 on 3rd August. This check is expected to take one week, making 10th August a potential start-up date.

A recent article on Enenews ( http://enenews.com/ ) said that the melted fuel

Fukushima Update Spring 2014

Three years after the Japanese earthquake triggered three meltdowns of the
nuclear power stations at Fukushima, the plants continue to pour 400 tons of
poisoned, heavily radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean every day. As they

Fukushima Update December 2013

Fukushima Update, Autumn 2013

In the last few weeks, the mainstream media has started to catch up with what a shambles Fukushima has become. In July '13, those following the numbers closely were getting shocked. 3Rd July – 4,300,000 Bq/l six metres from the sea. 5Th July – 900,000,000 Bq/l in the test hole next to it. Then came a vital admission; the water in the test bore holes was rising and falling with the tide, and contained lots of salt. Oh dear; its directly connected with the sea. Tepco must have known that for months, yet didn't say.

NOTHING TO CELEBRATE

This weekend, exactly one year ago, Kick Nuclear began a
weekly Friday morning picket outside the Japanese Embassy in
London in solidarity with anti-nuclear protestors in Japan
demanding an end to nuclear power there in the light of the
Fukushima Disaster of 2011. Japanese people living in London
have taken part every week in this London picket.

The anniversary was not marked by any form of celebration, in
view of the fact that the disaster at Fukushima continues, and
indeed worsens.

Rather than celebrate this anniversary, Kick Nuclear will
