Buried at C? Sizewell nuclear power station blockaded by anti-nuclear campaigners

By 7am this morning several campaigners masked as fish locked themselves together across the entrance of Sizewell A and B. They claim that the nuclear operators and the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate (NII) have not taken the possibility of flooding and coastal erosion at the Sizewell plants into proper consideration.

Anti-nuclear campaigners again walk free from court / case dismissed

Two anti nuclear campaigners, Andreas Speck (46) from London and Ian Mills (45) from Chippenham, who appeared at Lowestoft Magistrates Court today (4 January) on charges of "failing to leave land" (S69(3)(a) CJPOA 1994) when they blockaded Sizewell nuclear power station in Suffolk on 22 February 2010 [1] walked free after the case was dismissed when the prosecution did not offer any evidence.

Following a mobilisation on an unprecedented scale, the transfer of eleven containers of highly radioactive waste from La Hague (Manche) to Gorleben (Germany) took twice as long than expected.

Anti-nuclear campaigners blockade EDF's Hinkley Point nuclear power plant

Since 7am this morning, anti-nuclear campaigners from different anti-nuclear groups which are part of the Stop Nuclear Power Network [1] are blockading the access road to EDF's Hinkley Point nuclear power station in protest against EDF's plans for nuclear new build and what they are calling a flawed consultation.

Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station Blockaded in Climate Action

The gates to Hartlepool Nuclear Power Station are currently being blockaded by a group of seven climate change campaigners.

This morning at 8am seven people blocked the entrance to the nuclear plant by locking themselves together across the gate with steel arm tubes.

A banner outside the gates reads "No More" (with the o's being nuclear symbols) - in reference to the Governments plans for a new generation of nuclear power stations.
